Choose the official download
Use AVG’s installation guide or your AVG Account. In the account, manage the relevant subscription, choose Download and select the appropriate device.
Run Windows setup
For Internet Security on Windows, open the downloaded avg_internet_security_setup.exe as administrator. Approve the genuine installer’s permission prompt.
Complete installation
Choose the available setup language, continue with installation and allow it to finish. Restart the computer where needed for components to work fully.
Check activation and protection
Open AVG after setup. If you have purchased Internet Security, follow the activation guide for paid features and check the protection status in the app.

Installing on Mac or mobile
Use the linked product-and-platform guide for macOS, Android or iOS. Mac installation includes permissions that must be granted in macOS; a Windows setup file is not a mobile or Mac installer.
Free and paid products
AVG AntiVirus FREE and AVG Internet Security are different choices. AVG says the initial free subscription activates automatically after installation. Paid Internet Security features require the relevant subscription.
